Rebecca Ann Fitting, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on October 12, 2024, surrounded by love. Born on May 31, 1964, in Boise, Idaho to Johnny W. Fitting and Ruth A. Fitting. She was preceded in death by both her parents as well as her brother Steven J. Fitting, brother-in-law Robert R. Hudson (Tessa), sister Johneel K. Robblee, brother-in-law Phil Robblee and her beloved dog Sebastian Cabot (Sabby), and cat Petey.
Family was everything to Rebecca. She is survived by her loving sister Tessa Hudson (Rob), her younger sister Jennifer Quadracci (John), and her treasured nieces Nichole Hudson, Robyn Robblee (Dillon Roth), and Izabelle Quadracci Gunst (Andrew). She also leaves behind her dear nephews Shayne Hudson (Courtney), A.J. Hudson, Jonny Quadracci and Jesse Robblee, along numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Rebecca was a cherished member of the L'Arche community and her warm heart and joyful spirit touched many lives. She found joy in her work at Trader Joe's, where her love for bananas and vanilla Frappuccinos was well-known to those around her.
Rebecca lived a life full of adventure, laughter and creativity. She enjoyed gambling at the casino, traveling to Disneyland, New York, and Wisconsin, and always ready for her next great adventure. Her educational journey led her to Gordon Hauc School in Kirkland and later to Lake Washington VocTech in Redmond.
Art and creativity were at the heart of Rebecca's soul. She had a passion for arts and crafts, excelling in latch hook tapestry and creating beautiful Christmas ornaments. Her colorful purses matched her vibrant personality, with one for every outfit. Rebecca's love for music was undeniable—she danced with boundless energy to all genres, from ABBA and Michael Jackson to Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, and Cyndi Lauper.
Rebecca will be remembered for her bright spirit, deep love for those around her and her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her. Her infectious laughter and kind heart will be remembered fondly by her family and friends and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
Services for Rebecca will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Seattle University Chapel of St. Ignatius located at 901 12th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122. A visitation will be from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm with a Funeral Mass at 3:00 pm. The Chapel is located near the intersection of 12th Avenue and East Marion Street, across from the university's main campus entrance. For easiest access, enter through the 12th Avenue gate, and the chapel is just past the reflecting pool.
A Graveside service will be held at Kirkland City Cemetery on Thursday, October 17, 2024 12:30 pm.
ALL are welcome to all services. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
