Rick
Skillman
Sep 22, 1962 — Feb 9, 2024
Sedro Woolley
Rick Skillman passed away suddenly on February 9th, 2024 at 61 years old. He was a hard working man, a loyal friend and a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and papa. He lived his life to the fullest and he will be missed greatly by his many family members and friends.
Rick was born on September 22, 1962 in Anacortes to Tom and Norma Skillman where he was raised alongside his 3 brothers.
After graduating in 1980 he fished in Alaska until 1993 when he started his own residential and commercial painting business. The pride he took in the quality of his work as a perfectionist was reflected in the great success of his business. He married and had two daughters who he worked very hard to provide an abundant life for. He also loved to support and watch his nieces and nephews at their basketball games and dirt bike races. Rick loved his time spent hunting, fishing and crabbing with his buddies, shredding the mountains on a snowmobile, going on camping trips with family and long drives with good music blasting.
Rick is survived by his parents Tom and Norma Skillman, his brothers Pat (Lori), Randy (Lisa), and Todd (Debby), nieces and nephews Stephani, Cory, Randal, Kyle and Nollan, his daughters Kayla (Phil) and Carly (Matt) and his grandchildren who were the light of his life Christian, Harrison, Marley and Carson along with many friends who Rick considered to be family.
A celebration of life will be held with family and friends to remember Rick who was a one of a kind and left us too soon. Please contact Carly (360) 982-6292 or Kayla (360) 298-6059 for more information.
