Roger Wolfe Norian, 81, of Eastsound, WA passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2025, with Katie, his wife of 36 years, at his side.

He was born in Chicago to Richard and Eunice (Sandusky) Norian in 1943.  Roger graduated from the Latin School of Chicago, then obtained his college degree in business administration from Northwestern University in 1965.  He went on to earn his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in 1966.  Roger initially moved to New York City to work in investment banking and then as the Chief Financial Officer of a private company.  In 1974, Roger moved his young family to Los Angeles to become the Chief Financial Officer of Kerr Glass, where he took the company public.  He then became Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Board and President of that company, which became the Kerr Group, and remained in those positions until he retired in 1996.  He and Katie moved from Santa Monica to Orcas Island in 2016.

Roger lived a life full of energy, enthusiasm, optimism, curiosity, love, laughter, joy, strength, and honor.  He deeply loved his family, his dogs, and his home – and he loved to fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his youngest daughter Kristina. Roger was a loving and devoted husband to Katie, who survives him.  He is also survived by his beloved daughters Jennifer Norian and Michelle (Edward) Krivda; sister Linda Goodman, and his nieces Dana Goodman and Lauren Goodman.

We will miss him with every breath we take, but we are grateful he is now at peace, and beyond all suffering and pain.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery on Orcas Island.
