Ronald J Foley, 82, of Anacortes, WA, left us to be with the Lord December 13, 2024, after a long illness. Ron was born September 20, 1942, in San Diego, CA to Howard Hand Irene E Peterson Petrey. After a couple of years, they were divorced and Irene married Francis "Red" Foley.

Ron graduated from high school in 1960 and joined the United States Air Force. He traveled the world when he was in the Air Force as an Aircraft Refueling Specialist. Upon an honorable discharge Ron moved to Arizona to be near family.

Shortly thereafter he moved to Maine, where Ron started one of the many companies that he would own, RJ Foley Boot Company. He loved sharing all about making boots and displaying his favorites. His boots can still be found for sale across the United States.

While in Maine he met his future companion, Margaret "Peggy" Brandt. They were married December 27, 1982, and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage.Later they moved back to Arizona and started Fancy's Restaurant, again being close to Ron's family.

Ron and Peggy later moved to Skagit County and Ron continued his entrepreneurial spirit by starting Foley Motors, Foley RV and in 2008 purchasing Tom N Jerry Boat Center and in 2017 purchasing Master Marine Boat Center.

Ron loved fishing with his friends on the many different boats he had over his lifetime. Many of his fondest memories were at his cabin in Barkley Sound on Vancouver Island. He loved to fish, crab and shrimp, but his greatest joy was sharing the cabin and those experiences with others, especially the youth. He took many youth groups to the cabin and they still speak of those experiences to this day. Over the years, Ron touched so many lives and he will be truly missed.

Ron was also a skilled craftsman. He was very artistic and loved to build and create with wood. They had their dream home built in 2003, and there is evidence of Ron's craftmanship throughout the home and property.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and stepson JJ Pluff He is survived by his wife, Peggy, brother, Rex Foley and many brother and sister in-laws.

Peggy would like to give thanks to all the caregivers that took care of Ron over the past few years, especially to Brady Grimnes that took Ron on many adventures. She would like to give special thanks to Hospice Northwest for all their support over the last year.
