Rosario "Roy" Parascondola, a beloved father, grandfather, and love of the life of his late wife, Teeno, passed away at the age of 80 on December 24, 2023, in Anacortes, WA.  He was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of  Stephen and Elvira (Laurino) Parascondola on August 20, 1943.

Right after his graduation from high school, Roy joined the Marines and served his country until his honorable discharge on August 30, 1960. His dedication and commitment to his country were commendable, and he carried those values throughout his life.  As a civilian, he ventured in multiple careers: Postal Service in Los Angeles and Shelton Washington as well as, Simpson Timber Company before finding his niche career at Skagit Parts in Whidbey Island as a Parts Supervisor and Made in Washington in Logistics.

Beyond his professional achievements, Roy had a zest for life that was infectious. He had a deep passion for vintage vehicles and was regularly seen attending car shows and rallies, riding either his beloved Bug or 79 Chevy in Anacortes. Aside from his enthusiasm for vintage cars, he was an avid gun collector.  Roy's favorite sports were boxing and baseball.

He was known for his jovial personality and his ability to light up any room with his laughter. Roy had a remarkable talent for telling jokes and had earned the title of the Ultimate Joke Teller among his friends and family.

He attended  New Hope Church in Anacortes.  Roy loved having morning coffee with his friends from there.  His other pastime was solving the world's problems; he was a wealth of knowledge and loved talking to his twin brother over the nightly trivia answers from Jeopardy or questions they would give to each other to stump one another.

Roy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His lively spirit, passion for life, and dedication to his loved ones will forever be cherished.  He leaves behind his loving children:  Stephen, Frank, Tim, Wendi, and Stacy; 14  grandchildren; and his brother Stephen Valenti.
