Timothy Newton Vaughan, 64, of Mount Vernon, WA, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on November 29, 2021.  He was born on May 6, 1957, in Detroit, MI; the son of Timothy Huston & Rose Marie Vaughan.

Tim attended numerous schools as he moved around the country as part of a military family.  He graduated from Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood, WA, as well as attended classes at Edmonds Community College and Skagit Valley College.

Tim spent most of his working career in the Information Technology field, with an extensive career at Nordstrom and most recently as a contractor for the US Government.  Tim excelled as an employee and truly cared about the people he worked with.

All who knew Tim would say that he was a faithful servant of his Lord and Savior.  He was always first to volunteer and invested many hours caring for and serving others in the Body of Christ, for many years, at Emmanuel Baptist Church and most recently at Summit Park Bible Church in Anacortes.  Over the years, Tim spent many hours coaching sports teams for his son, playing on softball teams, traveling across the States to take in the beauty of Creation, spending time with friends who shared his interests  and being with family whenever possible.

Tim will hold a special place in the hearts of his family, friends and co-workers.  He was a caring and devoted friend to everyone he met.

Tim was predeceased by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cindy; son, Jerry; step children: Megan Petterson and Kyle Fink; grandchildren: Ben & Drew Vaughan; Hudson, Finnley and Livvy Petterson and Xander and Axton Fink; stepmother, Sun Ok Vaughan; sister, Aleen McNeese; nephew and niece: Fred and Rheena McNeese; and numerous cousins.
