Wayne Edward Kluth – Was born November 6, 1927 in Burbank, CA into an early area pioneer family. He passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 in Anacortes, WA, at age 89.

Wayne grew up in Burbank with a large family filling in after his father's death. Upon his HS graduation, just as WWII was coming to a close, he was called to serve in the U.S. Army. He was stationed at various U.S. posts and on discharge, picked up with his college education, graduating in 1952 with a B.A. degree in Industrial Arts, and an emphasis in Industrial Management, from the University of California, Santa Barbara, CA. Wayne was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity and Blue Key, National Men's Honorary.

It was during their college years that Wayne and Virginia "Ginny" met, married, and started on an amazing 65 year journey together. They began their family & moved to Fillmore, CA – a wonderful place for kids, then on to Irvine as opportunities for the family and Dad expanded.

Wayne had first entered the corporate world producing recreational boats with Mercury Boat Company, Burbank, CA. New possibilities in the manufacture & marketing of recreational vehicles opened up and he moved into RV manufacturing finally becoming the Vice-President of Manufacturing and Design for Executive Industries, Inc., Anaheim, CA. They produced "The Executive", one of the high end motorhomes of the time. He also served the industry as a member of the National Board of Directors, RVIA (Recreational Vehicle Industry Assoc.), 1976 until his retirement in 1981.

Wayne & Ginny made the move from Irvine, CA to Anacortes, WA and Wayne became involved in the community – Rotary, The Fidalgo Yacht Club, the Burrows Island Property Partnership. He was chair of a committee to begin the cleaning and restoration project for the Anacortes Depot. In recent years, lunch with The Friday Boys was a important part of his week. Wayne was always an active participant with Rev. Ginny as she became the founder of the church now called, Center for Spiritual Living Anacortes.

His love for family - wife Ginny their 3 daughters along with spouses, 8 grandchildren & spouses, 6 great grands, a brother, the sisters-in-law & spouses and all the numerous nieces and nephews, has given him great joy. Family campouts, fishing, backpacking trips, bicycling and skiing were always grand adventures.

Loving the beauty of the Northwest, his greeting often was, "Another wonderful day in paradise!" And he is missed!

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Wayne's life and share their memories on Saturday, May 6, 2017, 2:00 pm at the Skyline Beach Club, 6041 Sands Way, Anacortes, WA. Everyone is invited to join in the sharing.
