Wayne Ersell
Mcintyre, Jr
Nov 11, 1975 — Oct 25, 2024
Anacortes
Wayne Ersell McIntyre Jr., 48, of Anacortes, WA, passed away on October 25, 2024, due to a tragic workplace accident. Born on Veteran's Day, November 11, 1975, in Grove Hill, Alabama, the son of Wayne, Sr., and Toni (Parnell) McIntyre, Wayne lived a life full of adventure and dedication.
Wayne started working in his father's gun shop, and later journeyed on to be a skilled welder, pipe fitter, brick mason, and construction worker. Most recently, he served as a lead mechanic with Sugiyo USA, where he earned the love and respect of his coworkers.
Wayne had a deep love for his country and found joy in photography, stargazing with his telescope, tinkering with anything that could go faster and fix just about anything. His intelligence and curiosity led him to explore the world of drones, where he excelled in programming and flying them.
Wayne and Cindy kept a simple life in Anacortes and enjoyed spending time with each other and their family. They loved each other deeply. Baptized together in a local river in August of 2021 was an inflection point for Wayne and Cindy as it galvanized their faith together. With God as their foundation, the two of them sought to live out the tenants of Christianity in their daily lives with the scripture verse John 14:6 always close to their hearts.
Wayne's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever inspire those who continue to cherish his legacy.
Wayne leaves behind, his parents, his loving partner, Cindy Yeater; his daughter, Peyton McIntyre of Millbrook, AL, son Wyatt McIntyre of Mobile, AL, and his step-daughter, Britney Yeater of Lynden, WA; and his beloved grandchildren, Stella Molaski, Avery Lafeen, Levi Lafeen, and Benson Yeater.
