William Lee Stonack (Bill) a kind-hearted and hard-working man, passed away peacefully at his residence in Anacortes at the age of 70, on November 19, 2025. Bill was a devoted brother, uncle, and good friend, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and quiet generosity.

Born on May 28, 1955, in Auburn, Washington, he was the son of Robert and Lois Stonack. Bill was known for his strong work ethic and dependable nature. He took pride in doing things the right way and could always be counted on by those who needed him. Whether at work or in his personal life, he gave his best and expected little in return.

Bill grew up in Washington and graduated from Auburn High School and attended the University of Washington and Western Washington University before answering the call to serve his country. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1975 - 1979, where he was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. His years in the service shaped his strong work ethic, quiet determination and deep sense of responsibility. Following his military service, Bill built a career in the construction industry.

Bill was steady, caring, and supportive—a true presence through both good times and difficult moments. He was thoughtful and attentive, offering encouragement, humor, and guidance in his own gentle way. To his friends, he was loyal, trustworthy, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Bill lived simply but meaningfully, valuing honesty, hard work, and the relationships he built over a lifetime. He will be remembered for his warm heart, his reliability, and the quiet way he made others feel supported and valued.

He is survived by his loving siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lois Stonack.
