Adrienne Marie Johnson Murray 89, of Anacortes, WA went to her eternal rest peacefully in her sleep at her residence on August 3, 2020 with her husband Wayne holding her hand by her side. She was born August 10, 1930 in Saint Louis de Kent, New Brunswick Canada, and preceded in death by her parents the late Maxime & Lucie (Comeau) Martin. She was a devoted mother of four children: Richard Cormier, Ronald Cormier (Lisa), Darlene Baker and Pierrette Cormier. She was predeceased by her daughter Darlene Baker, her sister Antonette (Zoel+)Vautour, brothers Arthur (Eva+) Martin, Alderic (Theresa+) Martin, & Leonard (Eldora+) Martin. She is survived by six sisters: Thelma (Edouard+) Cormier, Dora (Reginald+) LeBlanc, Lorraine (Edouard) Gautreau, Yvonne Richard (Roger+), Germaine (Ernie) Johnson, Jeanette (Omer) Babineau, and two brothers Robert (Doris) Martin and Ivan (Winnie) Martin and many nieces, nephews and her precious God Daughter AnnaMarie Brown.

She emigrated with her husband Oswald Cormier (Deceased) and her children in a station wagon and trailer from Canada to the United States in 1964 seeking job opportunities in San Jose, CA. Before moving to the US she owned a beauty salon working for many years as a stylist in Moncton, NB Canada. After arriving in San Jose, she found work in a convalescent home serving meal to residents and often worked as a Maître D at a nearby restaurant close to home. She later worked at a plastics manufacturing facility in Sunnyvale, CA for a few years before beginning support for the California Med Fly Project for about five more years. In 1980 she met Harvey Johnson at a Med Fly Project barbecue and were married in 1984 in North Bend, Washington. There, they built three homes in their retirement years and loved boating on Lake Washington and Puget Sound plus making the journey as far north as Desolation Sound in British Columbia. They also provided convalescent care for Harvey's mother in their home for many years. After Harvey's mother passed Adrienne and Harvey sold their North Bend home in 1999 and built their Anacortes home in Marine Heights. Sadly, Harvey passed in 2001.

After Harvey's passing Adrienne became more active at St. Mary in Anacortes working in several ministries and generously sharing her time, talent, and treasure. She donated two stained glass windows in memory of her parents and Harvey plus donated the beautiful Tabernacle. Later, she started the "Little Flower Apostolate." Her ministry was to support those that lost loved ones for any reason. She also became a member of the St. Merrymakers charged with fund raising for various projects including the three-day St. MerryFest community festival for many years. She had great compassion for those that missed the Sacraments at Church, so she became a Eucharistic Minister for weekday and Sunday Masses as well taking the Sacrament to those in nursing homes, or those confined to their own homes. Her service to others has been her calling throughout her life over the years whether her family or friends. One of her joys however, was working with the Belles of St. Mary on the Rummage Sale specifically, raising the bar in the Boutique department with fancy clothes, shoes and purses. Any major dining experience at St. Mary's for Priests Days or a visit from the Archbishop or an Ordination celebration would include a head table designed with Adrienne's exquisite artistic touches and bone china table settings.

In 2004 she met Wayne Murray at daily Mass and they were later married in 2006 at St. Mary. They often traveled to Palm Springs in the winter to enjoy the sun. They traveled to New Brunswick in the fall many times to visit Adrienne's sisters and brothers. In 2009 they added on to their home with the addition of a suite to accommodate taking care of Wayne's parents in 2010. Adrienne took a great deal of pride hosting many annual Parish fundraisers called the Friar's Feast. That, and numerous dinner parties displayed Adrienne's renowned skill with beautiful table designs and delicious food. She once opened up her home for a Children's Hospital fundraiser that brought many folks to view her interior design work and beautiful table decorations. Adrienne and Wayne also enjoyed passing time riding in their Model T Ford around town, or on National Tours across the country. One of her greatest anticipations was the Christmas season and fully decorating the inside and outside of her home in festive preparation for the coming of the Lord.
