Dawn Arlene
Lebel
Mar 12, 1933 — Aug 3, 2019
Anacortes
Dawn Arlene Lebel, age 86, of Anacortes, WA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2019. She was born at 'dawn' on March 12, 1933 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Mary McNeill and Albert Petti. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, first husband Alfred Reynolds, and their son Sydney Alfred as well as her brother Lloyd McNeill.
Dawn is lovingly remembered by husband Victor Lebel of Anacortes, daughter Linda Felling of Abbotsford, B.C. (grandchildren: Leah, Darren and Kevin), grandson: Devin Reynolds, sister: Lorraine (Bill) and brother: Jim (Sandra) in Canada. She will also be missed by her sisters-in-law: Toni (Bob) Edmons and Fern Lebel of Anacortes and sister-in-law: Rita (Wes) Ingram of Burlington, as well as the whole Lebel clan who welcomed Dawn with open arms 42 years ago. She also leaves behind many great grandchildren who loved her so much. She is survived by an abundance of extended loved ones, nieces and nephews.
Her long friendships of 55+ years sustained her. Although she lived as an honorary American for more than 4 decades she proudly retained her full Canadian citizenship. Dawn loved her family; she treasured any photo, phone call or visit from these beloved ones. She enjoyed golfing, travelling and cruising in particular. She and Vic travelled to parts of Asia, the Caribbean and toured the US. For a number of years they wintered in El Centro, CA and enjoyed their Mazatlan, Mexico condo. Deep friendships were made there as well. A cruise to Alaska was her last big fling.
Dawn had an introvert's charm, humor, and she always took pride in her appearance. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. She lived with Parkinson's for 30 years but was determined to not let it get the best of her. She is profoundly missed by so many.
