Nov 24, 1929 — Jan 15, 2021
Richard Irvwin Ruble, born in Salina, Kansas on November 24, 1929 to Monte Rahe and Alice Lorraine Ruble, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 15, 2021 in Mount Vernon, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Monte Rahe Ruble, with whom he is now reunited with in heaven.
Richard is survived by his wife Mary Jean and his five sons Richard, David (Tami), Jacob (Heide), Monte (Debbie), and James (Carole) as well as grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Richard served his country in the Coast Guard, Air Force, and as a Washington State Patrolman. He was decorated for his active duty in the Korean War, flying over 21 combat missions.
In civilian life he used his broad range of skills in many lines of work which included being a carpenter, truck driver and a Boeing Engineer. Richard enjoyed flying, riding motorcycles, shooting and was an avid reader of history and his Bible.
Richard is most lovingly remembered as husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. His relationships were centered on his love for Jesus Christ, providing an example for us to follow in life and in death. He will be missed by all. There will be a private family memorial of his life celebrated with military honors.
