Myriah Dodds, 55, of Anacortes, took leave of her family and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 29, 2022.  She was born in Norwalk, CA; the daughter of Larry and Gina (Girten) Gonsalves.

Myriah met the love of her life, Brian Dodds in Garden Grove, CA and they married on August 25, 1984.  The Dodds moved to Anacortes in 1990 to make it their hometown. Three children were born to them, two sons: Chris and Thomas and a daughter, Michelle.  Myriah became a stay-at-home mom to take care of her children and family whom she loved deeply.  Her Christian faith was important to her and she nurtured her spiritual life at Christ the King, Living Rock and Pentecostal of Anacortes.  She had a passion for Thrift Stores and Garage Sales which stocked the family home with great finds. Myriah loved her getaways with Brian, especially going to see Air Supply in Concert.  She was a diehard fan of the Seahawks.  Hearing the Jets from NAS Whidbey flying over brought the biggest smile to her face.  She always dreamed of flying in one.

Last but not the least, Myriah had a love for animals which showed in the numerous pets she had: Rambo, Libby, Ducky, Littleman and past pets including Chubs, Buddy, Monkey and a few others.

She will be deeply missed by Brian, her husband of 37 years; children: Michelle,  Chris (Becky) and Thomas (Mallory); grandchildren: Kyrstin & Kaytlyn Johnson, Venessa & Aubrey Decker and Aspen Dodds and her siblings: Larry, Michelle and Nicole.  A private family service will be held in her honor.

The Dodds family wishes to thank Island Hospital, Skagit Valley Hospital, Whidbey General Hospital for their compassionate care she received over the years; the numerous doctors who cared for her, especially Drs. Judye Scheidt and Darrell Cornelius.
