Gerhard Jahn 88 passed away in his Anacortes home on February 28, 2021.

He was born in Tilsit Germany to parents Herta (Jahn) Bagdons & Kurt Schimkat.

Gerhard leaves behind four children: Volker, Ray, Angela & Greg; four grandchildren: Eric, Amanda, Kyle & Roan and his sister, Inge.

He met the love of his life, Esther (Rabbe) Jahn in 1956, she was another immigrant from Germany and  they were married in 1960.

Gerhard made his way through life traveling for his job-related work in tunnel construction around the USA and Denmark then moving to the Pacific Northwest when he retired in 1992, he very much enjoyed time on his boat and crabbing in the Puget Sound.

Opah spent the last few years of his life at his home watching the Seahawks & cooking in the kitchen enjoying what he earned.

Opah will be missed but is now reunited with the love of his life whom his whole world revolved around.
