Harold Thomas Solt, a devoted family man, and skilled electronics technician, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Island Hospital in Anacortes. He was 87 years old.

Born on June 6, 1938, in Lancaster, Ohio, to Frederick and Mildred (Thomas) Solt. Harold Grew up with a strong sense of duty and curiosity that would shape his life. He answered the call of his country by enlisting in the United States Navy, serving honorably during the Korean War. His time in the service instilled in him a lifelong appreciation for camaraderie, discipline, and the quite heroism of everyday resolve.

After his military tenure, Harold channeled his technical aptitude into a fulfilling career as a technician in the electronics industry. His work ethic was matched only by his warmth as a family patriarch. In a heartfelt union, he married Carol Thatcher, embracing her three young children as his own and together welcoming his two children into their blended family.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Mildred; his siblings; and his beloved wife, Carol, whose partnership brought light to his days. He is survived by his children, Amanda and Karl Solt; a devoted Grandson; and his three great-grandchildren. He is also lovingly remembered by his stepchildren: Nella Ludlow, Kenneth Ludlow, and Calperna Lucas; along with three step-grandchildren, each a testament to the blended family he nurtured with grace. In keeping with Harold's wishes for simplicity and privacy, no public services will be held. He will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery in Anacortes.
