Cliff Kennedy Cisco, a passionate sailor and beloved figure in the community, passed away on January 19, 2025, in Anacortes, Washington, with his wife, Amy, by his side. Born on February 27, 1946, in the Territory of Hawaii to Robert and Camille Cisco, Cliff's early years were filled with adventure, from surfing the waves off Wailupe Peninsula to exploring the mountain trails of Aina Haina Valley. He graduated from St. Louis School in 1964 and later served as an Alumni trustee on the board. During his college days in the University of New Mexico he developed lifelong friendships with his Sigma Chi fraternity brothers. After 40 years of dedicated service, Cliff retired, as Senior Vice President, from Hawaii Medical Service Association, the Blue Cross Blue Shield plan for Hawaii. He also served on the board of numerous community and charitable organizations.

Cliff's true passion lay in sailboat racing. His journey began with a single sail, progressing from El Toros to Hobie catamarans, and ultimately to the majestic 54-foot "Silversword." He raced across the Pacific, relishing the thrill of competition in big boat events such as the Transpac and Clipper and Kenwood Cup Series. One of his most cherished memories was sailing for seven months to the South Pacific, an experience that solidified his love of the sport. As Commodore of Waikiki Yacht Club, he dedicated his time to fostering the sailing community through race management sharing his expertise and enthusiasm with fellow sailors. Cliff's love for the sea extended beyond racing. He enjoyed cruising the stunning waters of the Salish Sea and the breathtaking fjords of Canada.

Cliff leaves behind his loving wife, Amy Cisco, daughter Deena Bjerregaard, granddaughters Isabel and Trinet, sister Frances McCormick, and brothers Terry and John Robert Cisco. His legacy as a sailor, mentor, and friend will forever be remembered.

There will be a celebration of life on July 29, 2025, 2-4pm at St. Louis Alumni Clubhouse, 916 Coolidge Honolulu, HI 96822.
