Elaine Claire Robertson Kinslow was born to Henry and Lillie Robertson on February 16, 1939, in Marysville, Washington. Elaine was the youngest of the eight Robertson children. Growing up with three older brothers and four older sisters, Elaine was given the nick name of "Punky" which remains her name to her two sisters, nieces and nephews who survive her. Elaine enjoyed being the youngest member of the family and received such love and attention from her older siblings.

After graduation from Marysville High School, Elaine met the love of her life, Arvel Kinslow, and they married while he was serving in the Army. After Arvel's  Army career, they moved to Redlands, California where their two youngest children, Gary and Kris, were born. Tammy was born in Marysville before they left. They later moved back to Marysville and then to Anacortes where Elaine remained enjoying her beautiful view of Puget Sound.

As a little girl, Elaine had a special relationship with her dad and especially so while singing, YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE! Elaine had a talented voice. Elaine's beautiful voice led her to singing with many women's vocal groups in Anacortes.

After Arvel passed away, Elaine spent the winter months in Mesa, AZ. Elaine was a big Mariners fan and followed the team during spring training and on into the regular season. She was very knowledgeable about the game and enjoyed the technical side of the sport.

Auntie Punky had great humor, fun to be around, quick to laugh and always ready to tell an amusing story. As Gram Elaine, she was surrounded by so many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren wanting her attention. Elaine was a devoted Christian and lived a deep Faith. To those of us who remain, her son, Gary; her grandchildren: Desiree Olson, Danyelle Paul, Chris Nethercott, Ryan  Unterwegner, Clint, Cody & Calvin Kinslow  and sisters: June Duvall and Helen Cook; we have lost our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, sister, Auntie, cousin and friend. Husband Arvel and daughters Tammy and Kris preceded Elaine in death.
