Henry James "Hank" Wallinga, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, at the age of 81, in Hospice Care at Rosario Assisted Living in Anacortes, WA.

Born on September 24, 1943, in Hull, Iowa, Hank was the son of LeRoy Wallinga and Johanna Kooiker. He pursued some college education before embarking on a career as a truck driver, a profession he dedicated himself to for 40 years, working for companies such as Smart & Final, GTE, and T&T Trucking. After more than two decades of retirement, Hank continued to embrace life with the same vigor he brought to his work.

Hank was a man of many passions. His love for motorcycles began at the age of 15 and remained a lifelong source of joy. As he built his life with his family, he found pleasure in photography, gardening, and horseback riding. He treasured time spent with their beloved dogs and cats and found great joy in RVing and camping, creating countless cherished memories with loved ones. A talented cook, Hank delighted his grandchildren with special dishes, always bringing warmth and comfort to their gatherings. He was a proud and supportive presence at their sporting events, cheering them on in Pop Warner football, basketball, volleyball and soccer.

Hank is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Lanette Ramsey, with whom he shared a lifetime of love since their marriage on November 12, 1988, in Ontario, California. He is also survived by his sons, James and Michael Wallinga of North Carolina, and his stepdaughters, Adrienne L. Kailey and Holly A. Rodriguez. His legacy lives on through his grandchildren: AnaMae "Nakelle" and Charlie Wallinga; Tyler Zorn, Alexandra (Lexy) Rodriguez, Austin, Aidan, Camilla, & Jessica Rodriguez, Dannika and Jared Dawson.

Hank was preceded in death by his parents and sister, AnaMae Wallinga.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him—a man who lived with passion, devotion, and a deep love for God, his family and life's adventures. His legacy of warmth, dedication, and joy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of sharing in his journey. Private family services will be held for Hank as he laid to rest in Fernhill Cemetery.
