Katherine (Kathy) May Starrett, our beloved mother, grandmother and friend passed away August 17, 2023 at the age of 94. She was born in Modesto, CA in 1929. Kathy married Albert C Starrett in 1953, while Al was in the Airforce. In 1955, they moved to Bellevue and the Starretts were blessed with two sons. Kathy was a devoted mother, an excellent seamstress and she enjoyed playing in numerous recreational leagues including tennis, badminton, and bowling. Her love of flowers turned her into an avid gardener so she could enjoy them year-round.

After her sons graduated high school, Kathy began working for Joann Fabrics in Eastgate. In 1988, she moved to Issaquah to be closer to her sons and their families and worked for State Farm Insurance.

Her next move was to Anacortes in 2010, to join Dave and Jeri. She lived at Chandlers Square, and eventually, Rosario Assisted Living. She was a supportive and loving mother, and grandmother, and will be missed.

She is survived by her two sons, David (Jeri) and Dan, her brother and sister-in-law, Buzz and Joyce Summers and her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
