Lorraine Caroline Adams, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 17th, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 98 years old.

Born on October 8, 1926, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, Lorraine was the treasured daughter of Kenneth and Mary Christopherson. During her sophomore year of high school, she moved with her family to Anacortes, Washington, where she graduated from Anacortes High School in 1944 and began the journey that would become the foundation of an enduring family legacy.

After graduation, Lorraine stepped into the workforce with quiet confidence, holding positions at the Navy base on Whidbey Island, Whitney Cannery, and the Rosario Market. But her greatest joy wasn't found in the day's labor, it came after hours, on the polished floor of the local roller rink. Skating was her passion, her escape, and ultimately, her destiny. It was there, beneath the glow of spinning lights that she met the love of her life, Dennis Adams. What began as a shared joy of skating blossomed into 72 years of marriage filled with devotion, loyalty, and laughter. They were married on July 14, 1948, and spent a lifetime building a home centered around family, friends, and the kind of love that never fades. Dennis passed on March 15, 2021, but Lorraine carried his memory with her in every step, every story, and every smile.

Together, they raised two children, Larry Adams (wife Mel) and Cindy Haines (late husband Bryan), and were proud grandparents to Dustin (wife Keri), Jared (wife Jen), and Skyler (husband Jonathan), her "little sweethearts." In time, she also became "Great-Grandma" to Andrew, Joelle, Espn, and Breckland Haines. Lorraine's pride in her family was immeasurable, and the joy she found in each moment with them radiated through every milestone, phone call, kisses blown and visit had.

Lorraine adored her home. It wasn't just where she lived, it was where memories were made, bellies were filled, and stories were told. Her front porch was a welcome mat to the world, and her kitchen table holds countless stories over the years. Christmas was her favorite season. She and Dennis transformed their home into a warm, glowing hub of celebration, decorated inside and out with lights, laughter, and country western music playing in the background. It was a place where traditions lived, where new memories were made, and where everyone knew they belonged. That house was more than a shelter, it was home-base.

Lorraine will be remembered as the heart and soul of our family. She danced through life with joy, told stories that made you lean in and laugh out loud, and made every single person she met feel important and loved. Her spirit was gentle yet strong, she was sassy but sweet, her presence comforting, her legacy deep and lasting.

She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward in every gathering, in every shared story, and in the quiet moments where her presence will continue to be forever be deeply felt. Lorraine Caroline Adams was, and always will be, the matriarch of our family whose love shaped our lives and whose spirit will never be forgotten.
