Mary Frances
Olsen
Aug 25, 1962 — Jan 16, 2023
Reno
Mary Frances Olsen (Padden), age 60. Born in Oak Harbor WA. Mary graduated from Anacortes High School and received her B.A. from WWU in Geography and Urban & Regional Planning. She traveled broadly to India, Europe, Iran and the South Seas.
Mary cared for all of humanity with a boundless love. She was a universal teacher who lived by example, the one many called upon for guidance. Her love was indiscriminate, all-accepting, and extraordinarily pure. Lifelong, Mary trained her mind to develop knowledge and wisdom in science, philosophy, ancient archeology, sacred geometry, religion, metaphysics, and meditation.
She devoted herself to a life of service to others, every day forsaking her own personal wants and needs. Mary's message to us all is to love oneself and one another with compassion, forgiveness and acceptance. She prayed for grace for loved ones and all of humanity. She tried to make life easier for others and to always be kind.
She is survived by her Mother Kay Padden (Anacortes), sisters Annie Padden Jubb (Los Angeles), and Kristin Troxel (Randy,) and niece Libby Troxel, (Bayview, WA); Aunt Judi Garon (Quebec, Canada); Godson Joey Foster, (Salmon ID); stepbrothers Martin and Andrew Lyman, many cousins, and lifelong friends Bonnie and John Ellis, Jessica and Paul, (Reno NV) and others. She was preceded in death by ex-spouse Jim Olsen, Stepfather Rodger Lyman, grandparents, and cherished pets.
