Orcas' resident Sandra Green, (71) died unexpectedly of heart-related problems on June 22, 2021, at her home.  She was born July 8, 1949, the daughter of Duane and Elsie (Knudsen) Riddle and grew up near Deming, WA; graduating from Mt. Baker High School.  She had her own accounting business for 20 years prior to moving to Orcas in 1993.  She was the Finance Director at Four Winds Camp in Deer Harbor since 2004, and also served on a number of local boards and was involved in community events.  Over the years Sandra enjoyed many outdoor activities, including gliding and flying, and she loved her beagles!  More recently her focus was on community events involving her niece, Angelina.  Surviving relatives include her brother, George, and her sister, Phyllis.  Arrangements are being made for a private family gathering in Saxon, Washington.
