Mary Jean Stewart Ruble, born in Mount Vernon, Washington on April 14, 1928 to Laurence and Isola Stewart, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 12, 2022 in Burlington, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 66 years, Richard Ruble , with whom she is now reunited in heaven.

Mary Jean is survived by her five sons, Richard, David (Tami), Jacob (Heide), Monte (Debbie) and James (Carole), as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

After graduating from Mount Vernon High School, she attended The Colorado Women's College in Denver, Colorado where she studied to become a dental assistant. Upon completion of her studies she returned to Seattle, Washington to work in her field of study and be near family.

She married the love of her life, Richard Ruble on May 15, 1954 and went on to have their five sons. Her heart and hands were full raising five boys and her joy increased with the addition of their wives and the grandchildren that followed. In her free time, she enjoyed painting china, oil painting, flower gardening, baking bread and knitting.

Mary Jean will be most lovingly remembered as wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and loving friend to all who met her. Her relationships were centered on her love for Jesus Christ, providing an example for us to follow in life and in death. She will be missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at Summit Park Bible Church in Anacortes, Washington on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. where we will honor her life and celebrate her Homegoing.  The family would like to express our thankfulness to the caring staff of "Where the Heart Is" in Burlington for the compassion and care that they showed to our mom.  We are also very grateful for the attention and kindness given to mom in her last days by Hospice NW.

We love you, Mom.
